Default HELP!!!! new to the DC5 world..

ok guys heres the deal owned Mostly B-series and my car got stolen bought a 02 type s with a turbo kit by cybernation..it is a t3/t4 50 trim...turbonetics evolution waste gate turbo xs rfl blow off valve and 550 injectors with a S-afc II controling the air and fuel....I know nothing about the K-series but im allready impressed at the things im finding out.. i know on a b-series with stock internals you shouldnt go past 8psi because of the weak block,,,but can you guys tell me aboutthe K and what it can hold and what directions to take....any info is apperciated

The K-Series is a great engine, I don't see why 300HP wouldn't be a completely safe goal.


I would however look at upgrading above the SAFCII. The SAFC is fine for cars that don't have much alternatives to ECU's. However you have access to Hondata. It would allow you to fine tune the engine in so many ways and make it that much "safer". Basically make the engine run as if it came turbo'ed from the factory.

but what are the capabilities on a stock type s motor under psi like 8-15 or what?

Get Kpro and get it tuned. You can probably run as high as 12psi safely. A lot of ppl stick to around 9psi and crank out 300whp+.

Get Kpro and then go to your local tuner and have it tuned to its max. The SAFC is not gonna be appropriate - the ECU is not like that of the former motors.

12 psi nice... hey thanks for the info... I know there are alot of places with dyno's but i gotta talk to a few people and see which ones do the best job
