Lately Ive been seeing some Crazy Integras/Civics with 400-500hp and was wondering how much is too much power for the stock tranny? Is there an aftermarket company that builds better Trans components or full trannys for The Integras/Civics?

How long will a stock tranny last with such a powerful motor and what would you have to do to make sure the tranny doesnt take a nose dive?

Yeah I already know that, but my question was pertaining to the Transmission.

 

ive seen 700hp on a stock tranny with quaife, and gator axles

 

I have a whole bunch of buddies that have some old school cars, stangs, cameros, Cuda...etc. and they always bust their tranny.

Can our trannys last longer simply because we dont have that much torque going through them from the get go like the big V8's?

Hard to say, I have blown 2 trannys and not an axle yet. There are ways to make the tranny stronger, or you can go buy an Quaife Dog Engagment Tranny for like 20K with the extra's.

 

Quaife and some carbon syncors, maybe a new oem final drive and should be good for along time.

 

mostly every body i know keep the stock tranny mostly ls and gsr tranny's and get limited slip

 

well if you beat the **** out of your tranny its gonna break, if you change the oil and are a good driver itll last you awhile

I watched a guy a few months ago dyno 585whp and somewhere around 49X wtq. I don't remember what the torqu was exactly but it was up there. Stock tranny
