Default Best place to wire things to... 12v source

Besides the battery.. where can i run power/ ground wires to safely (ECU didn't work DOH)

cigarette lighter fuse under the dash.. it only powers up when the car is on

Seriously thats not a bad place to wire something like that. I have EL gauges on my speedometer and I wired it to the cigarette lighter. If your friend had problems wiring up simple like that then..........

yea, i have my sirius hardwired to the cigarette lighter so it turns on when my car turns on.

or the ignition switch...
probably the best spot considering alarms get hooked up there

^^lol yeah you can pull 12v from almost anywhere with all the wires running around, you only really have to worry when youre pulling huge current
