ENGINE BUILD Z6
Ok i just got my used z6 block i want to build a motor for about 10psi of boost at most. I herd that the stock crank should hold up just fine but will the rods and should i buy forged pistons? THEY ARE SO DAMN EXPENSIVE!! I plan on port and polishing the head and adding good springs and titanium hardware. Possibly a cam(most likely). ive never built a honda engine before or a four cylinder engine period plenty of v8's tho.. Just looking for some pionters any help will be apreciated.

yeah the parts are expensive but what can we do about it
get aftermarket rods, arp rod bolts and head studs, some low coomp pistons, port and polish isn't really necessary, and a nice turbo cam

10psi on what turbo? That number is completely irrelevant until you pick what turbo you want.
250whp is more than acheivable with a turbo People are putting down 400whp with turbo D-Series motors. How much power do you want to make? That's the question. Next question, how much do you want to spend? A fully built D will run you around $3k. $900 for pistons and rods, $600-1500 for port and polish, $300-400 for other machine work, $250-300 for springs and retainers, $250-300 for a cam, $100 for a cam gear, did you want new valves for around $200, $300 for an ACT clutch to handle the power, and about $600 for all new OEM Honda gaskets, seals, bearings, and other misc. rebuild parts. Add in labor if you're not building it yourself. A Moroso oil pan would be a groovy idea and you're probably going to want better cooling, too. So, what do you want to do with your build?
