well long story short, my ebrake failed because i dont think this inspection garage checked it and didnt say **** about it. well it rolled through thsis wooden fence and into a pond but the water only came upto about the top of my rims. and it sat in water for about 2 hours then pulled out. do you think it hurt my turbo or my motor? my bottom end was completely rebuilt and it WAS NOT running when it went in. the insurance company says the damage is worth more than my car is at over 6,000 in damages which cant be right. cracked windshield. one mirror broke and the moonroof is broke. the rest are just scratches and reallly minor dents.

its going to a salvage yard on monday and i was thinking of buying the motor iwth the turbo off the yard for like 500 bucks and either selling it or putting it in something else. im not sure yet

any comments?

 

Good luck buying the motor and snail back for $500. Talk to your insurance company about buying the whole thing back from them, and then just repair it.

 

the junkyard will not sell the car back for $500, best way is to buy it off from your insurance and start to part it out.. even tho you made think is not total, all is matter whateva the insurance said

 

the teg is at some shitty garage right now waiting. if i bought it off them now. i wont be able to go take it out before monday. u think there is a way i can just buy it and they can just keep it there or at the salvage yard for me to pick up?

 

call your insurance company. buy it off them is better then buying from junkyard ppl cuz they gonna want alot for it, they're not stupid
