99si b16 swap in 97 dx coupe help

Default 99si b16 swap in 97 dx coupe help

im gonna buy this 99 si b16 swap. i noe how to do the swap i jus need info on the wiring.
i wanna buy a 96 to 98 ex wire harness. should i wire the car up for a obd2a then put the jumper to obd2b or wire it to obd2b then get the jumper harness to obd2b. and how do i tell if the motor is legit??

heres the answer get 96-98 wiring harness, extend wires needed (shouldn't be more than 3), obd1 jumper with a nice p30 or chipped p28

^^^what he said...but why get a new harness when you can just easily add on vtec solenoid/pressure, and knock sensor...way cheaper than buying a whole new harness, plus you wouldn't have to take out your engine harness...it is a b*tch taking it out...and putting it back in...

when you do that, just unclip your engine harness at the ECU end and just plug the three wires into the correct clip...and voila! vtec and all!!!

oh yea...it is best to run an obd1 ecu...preferrably p28 if you can get a hold of one or like hatch-E-vanish stated above...p30 - obd1 though...way easier...and just sell the SI ecu or do whatever to it...

ea but if i go obd1 dont i have to get an obd1 dizzy injectors and fuel rail
