Default Caliper Rubbing Alloy Wheel

Just put my new wheels onto my Honda Civic Coupe 1.6 lsi 1997.

All the wheels went on perfectly. Drove around the corner and noticed a rubbing noise. Pulled over and noticed that my brake calipers where rubbing against the inside of the alloy wheel.

My existing wheels are 17 inch and replaced them also with 17 inch. And even the same tyre size 205/40/17.

Please see below the grooved out alloy wheels.

Just bought some 5mm spacer.

Fitted them on.. and the wheels do clear the brake calipers... Which is great.

But the problem is that the spacer itself, are touching against the wall of the brake calipers...

Are there any smaller spacers?

It's difficult to tell from your photos, but if the rubbing is minimal, you should be able to remove some material from the calipers to eliminate it.

shaving off alittle bit of your caliper will do the trick..is it rubbing pretty deep?

i wouldn't get wheel spacers. your best bet, shave off alittle of the rubbing area on your caliper. by the way, what off set do you have on those rims?
