Results are here:

http://socal.drivenasa.com/points.php

MyLaps has everything except the Sunday race. Timing may never get sorted out because
of the two black flags.

MyLaps results are up for Sat only. The track timing loop died in Sunday and the will be no MyLaps results for that day.

Here's the Thawley report:

Friday was a shortened test day due to having a few things left to do on the car, but I think we still learned a lot. The new aero added a lot of grip and made the car a much easier to drive at speed. Don did the testing and found a good set up on used tires, but it developed an understeer on the full-treads. The jury is still out on any advantage the aero might have added to overall lap times. The lack of timing data from Sunday cost us some valuable data.

Saturday:
I banged fenders with an SE-R in turn 4. It was a light "racing incident" but it was enough to knock something loose in the electrical system and kill the engine for good. 7 laps out of 15. Got some points, but not as many as I'd hoped.

Sunday:
After a three-hour thrash Saturday evening, Bernardo could not find the electrical issue. I was ready to throw in the towel and spend a leisurely Sunday spectating and taking photos. But Sam Higashi showed up Sunday morning with his new engine fresh off the dyno. With him in the race, I could not afford to sit by and give away points. Gus Hereda (Toyota factory technician) rolled up his sleeves and found a work-around to the mysterious electrical issue. That left me with 45 minutes to put the dash back in the car, tuck all the wires up and away from my feet, get my suit on and make the grid. It all happened. Barely.

In the race, the car was still balanced about the same as with the aero (Sunday we ran it WITHOUT wing and splitter) but overall grip was down. I ran third the whole race with Bernardo and Sam completely out of my sight. So I ran a steady/cautious pace and only let Sam eek out 5 points on me for the day.

My official points tabulation shows me with a pretty good lead in the championship. But I still need to finish every race of the season to hold it. There are three more weekends and six more races left...

Thawley 824
Sam Higashi 740
Bernardo Martinez 495

Thanks to all who helped.

With that wing where it is, it does make me wonder how dirty the air (if any) is reaching it. But I guess that's what testing is for...

There is some crazy flex going on with your stock spoiler that the wing is attached to. does the stock spoiler pop back up, or is it pretty much bent now?

Actually That is cheating. Changing Aero Is illegal in HC while the car is in motion.
This must be a Ferrari Type of deal.

Race results are here http://www.mylaps.com/results/...48220
Bernardo Martinez won H1 both days. I heard he qualified under the H1 lap record on Sunday, who knows if he went any faster in the race.
Also, I don't know the results for the other classes on Sundays race.

Not true. Read the rule...

9.4 Chassis and Body Preparation- H1 Only
h) Any front and rear spoiler may be used that extends no more than one and one half (1.5) inches beyond the outline of the body when viewed from above. Front splitter/under tray may not extend rearward of the front of the front wheel well opening. Canards or other aerodynamic devices that attach to the body bumper are prohibited (except allowed by the rules herein).
i) Cockpit and/or remote adjustable spoiler controls are prohibited.

The rules above make no reference to flexible aero devices, only those with "remote adjustable controls" which I do not have. It is a moot point on my car, anyway, since the stock spoiler on my car is bent that way and is not flexing at speed. Furthermore, nothing on my car uses the limit of the H1 rules with the extra 1.5" beyond the outline of the body. The parts in the photo are all within the body outline.

All my aero mods are H4 legal. And I've got templates for everything should any interested EF owner be interested enough to wave some Benjamins my way...
