Dunlop FM901
They grip better than Falken, not sure about the side-wall though. My brother is trying them as we speak.
I dun expect it to be a USDM A032R but something that won't chunk and tear is all I ask, like the Azenis....

I'm contemplating these as serious replacements so I must know how they can handle some circuit action as well....

I highly dont recommend these. I spoke to the Dunlop rep at IAS he specifically told me that these are just a "show" tire meant for show cars. (if you couldn't tell from the gay piglude parked in their booth. Not sure why but he told me that the grip isn't that great compared to their other tires. Its target market is to go up against the cheap Nittos and Kumhos. You want a cheap tire? Go get 195/50 S-03's.
btw....for those who haven't attended yet...Yokohama is bringing over the replacement for the AVS Intermediate. Expect it in August/Sept for around the same prices as the AVSi's. Its basically the DNA GP w/ a new name.

actually they have Parada Spec 2 now. supposedly better handling tyres b/c of new construction and silica compound.

The dunlop FM901's are very popular in australia..
I have personally driven on them in a EK4 hatch (b16a) with Tein HA's around wakefield park roadcircuit.
They are great tyres for the money... cant be compared to falken azenis or any other semi slick, but they grip very well are very adjustable on the limit in FWD cars and seem to have an ok wear rating on the EK hatch. (ive driven on them before the teins were installed as well, and they were equally as impressive)
A lot of people use these tyres, 200sx and s15 silvia users are one of the big fans of this tyre.
They are definitely not a show tyre. (they dont look THAT good do they?)
For the track, they hold up pretty well... They will be my next set of tyres for sure.
Falken Azenis will go on my 14" mugen CF-48's
I give the dunlop fm901's a very big thumps up for bargain performance tyres.

as a comparison to other tyres: they are very similar to bridgestone re711's in terms of grip etc. They are definitely more grippy than the crappy pirelli p5000 dragos i have on my car as well as not prone to overheating after 2 laps.
And as a reference, I got overtaken by this car on fm901s whilst i was wearing some worn out Dunlop Formula R semislicks. [the fact that he was four wheel drifting through the corner whilst i was gripping might have more to do with the Teins than anything else though].

Prices are in USD.
I think they should be better than Azenis however, I have to try then before I can tell. I have been reading articles about this tire 2 yrs ago and they were one of the best street tire in Japan.

here is a thread about them
*they are not better than azenis in dry.
Azenis are basically semislicks for the street. Dunlop FM901's are a high performance street tyre.
As with most tyres out there, everyone has a different opinion- but most of the opinions on the fm901s have been positive. I personally have never heard a bad word.
they make a great daily driver tyre.

im interested to hear more opnions about this tyre too as i need to replace my Azenis very soon. From what ive gathered i "think" these tyres should be good, probably better than the Azenis. The azenis are an OK tyre, nothing to write home about. For comparison sake i can lap wakefield in identical times in both the azenis and my last tyre which were the RE711. Only difference was that the RE711 felt better and lasted longer. I wanna try the FM901 cos theyre cheap and good, so i heard.
well ive never driven on azenis before, but i based my judgement on their specs!
if you lap just as quickly in ur re711's
then haha..might as well get some proper semislicks for my 14" wheels.
