what size hole for a 10 inch sub?

Default what size hole for a 10 inch sub?

Im doing a custion MDF/fiberglass enclosure and dont have the sub yet.

Every sub is different. One 10" sub may have a 9 3/8" basket diameter, while another may have 9 7/8"...

Hmm Ive never come across that with 12s.

And I find it hard to believe that you've never had that problem with 12's... You've never swapped a sub and noticed that the new one fit tighter or moved around in the hole more??? That's because the baskets were different sizes...

You didn't say that you knew it all, but you came across as such.
