looking at a 1997 GSR, water in the trunk...??
Hi, right now i am looking at getting a 1997 GSR which has 125,000 miles. i just got back from test driving it and it was great. the guy gave me all the maintenance records, which was from the same dealership dating back to 1997. it seems like he really took care of this car, got things replaced BEFORE the recommended mileage...that sort of thing.
i noticed that where the spare tire is, there was a small pool of water. it was not rusty, it didn't seem like it was sitting there a long time, it didn't smell, and the carpet covering was not wet. where the heck did this water come from? could this be a big deal?
thanks!

^exactly.
it is a fairly common but minor problem for these cars.

this car was really really REALLY well maintained. i thought i took care of my last car (celica)...but my other car did not look this good at 125k.
by the way, this was the guy's wife's car, he drove an s2000. the guy and his family are obsessed with hondas
(NEW civic SI, s2000, and a Fit?? never heard of it) i actually saw him on the road during rush hour the next day haha!! any ways, heres a quick pic:
