Default 98 ITR in 88 CRX

Well the summer is here and the motor has arrived now. Ive been doing some research on my motor. 98 spec ITR stock obd2. My question that i haven't solved yet is,do i have to convert my hole car over to obd2 or do i only convertor the engine harness(obd2 or obd1) What do must guys run for this motors in the REX's. I plan on building the motor if that helps out. Also other question is if i go obd1 P28 computer? or another obd1 computer and ive also heard people saying that if you get a p28 comp and chipp it don't chip the vtec to low bc its bad in the end. I was thinkin that vtec hits at 5grand or is that too low. Thanks alot for the help guys

Ohhh...Lot's of questions and i have lots of answers but little time.

To keep it short and sweet:

I run a p28 chipped from Phearable.net. It is fine for a stock motor. He can set you up with a basemap for your application. Ideally you'll want to get the motor tuned once you build it. So keep that thought open. My ecu is hondata ready which means all I have to do is buy a S200 and plug it in and go get it tuned.

I used my OBD2 dizzy and injectors and had it wired so I could use it.

I think the JDM P72 ecu is OBD1 and usable also. Some people use it because it doesn't look for a vtec oil pressure switch or a knock sensor (I think). That's just another option though and I don't "think" it has any real advantage over a chipped P28.
