Default VTEC not coming on

I changed my valves and put my head back on since that everytime I try go in to VTEC the car sputters. I changed coil, cap, rotor, vtec solenoid, ignitor. I also checked the rocker assembly and its appears to be assembled good. Anyone know what this might be.

How does the oil level work. Vtec operates on oil pressure.

What code are you throwing? If its sputtering at VTEC engagement and its not going past 6k on the tach, then more than likely you are in Limp mode. Check what code you are throwing and that is more than likely your problem....

No codes, thats why I am guessing itsa mechanical problem or something with oil pressure. Cause the VTEC is trying to come on and then the car sputters some what like a 2 step.

Sounds like what Jim said, and it's limp mode. Are you running the stock ECU?

Is there anything could of not put in place for this to happen. Also the dowel under the cam caps is there so I don't have a clue to why this is happening.

Do you have the old Vtec solenoid to swap back on and try again?
