swap question: ecu

Default swap question: ecu

Ok so i'm about to put an ls/vtec in my car...the d16z6 is coming out and i have a p28 ecu. Do i need to chip the ecu?

This has been covered so many times.
What you should really do is have your computer chiped with a base map
according to your setup and get it tuned.

remember tuning is what will make your set-up last.

Ok so basically what this kid told me is that it's obd 2, but it doesnt have a knock sensor, crank angle sensor, etc, so i can basically just connect it straight to my p28 ecu...is this true? I'd like to be able to drive the car to the tuning shop, rather than tow it.
