Default engine bay cleanup!?

I am cleaning up my engine bay cause I am tired of working around all the extra BS.

I am already removing PS, cruise, and AC is gone!

What other unnecessary stuff is under the hood of our cars!

I need to keep it a daily driver, and want it to run as stock as possible, but am not concerned with emmisions!

Thanks for the help

you oculd relocate your battery to the trunk, or I have seen some people mount the battery down further. if you remove the battery tray, and the brace underneath, you can make some l bracket and drop it a good 6-8 inches. looks cleaner, but if you really didn't want that, just get a bettery box and throw it in the trunk.

extend your fusebox to go under your passenger side dash, re-route wiring harness/extend wires so they go where they aren't very visible.. i'm probbaly forgetting some things, but clean you engine bay after ou are done with everything, it'll look 10x nicer when you do that

Yea, I will do the battery relocation for sure!

I will look into the fuse box relocation (gotta see how hard it would be)

What about any other sensors etc. I can get rid of? (without affecting driveability or CELs)

Thanks again

You can still remove the EVAP system, ABS, starting air valve, washer squirters, AC wiring harness and you can move a lot of stuff so it's hidden like the EGR and MAP sensor for example.

Never had ABS, AC is completely gone!

What is the EVAP? Where is it?

And starting air valve? whre is it and what is its function? will it throw CELs if I remove it?

You got the AC relay things on frame behind the headlight?

EVAP is the fuel tank evaporative emissions control system. The little charcoal canister on the firewall and a bunch of lines and stuff.

Starting air valve gives extra air on startup...useless. It's a little valve on the IM with a vacuum line going to the intake before the throttle body.

I will check on the AC stuff more after I get cruise out completely!

EVAP - yea I am pretty sure I took that out! it had a couple vac lines and another larger diameter hose running down to to bottom of car for draining or something?

Any chance of a pic of the valve your speaking of? do I need to block anything off? Does it cause a CEL?

Yeah, the EVAP has like 3 lines, 1 seperate solenoid, the canister and a hardline that goes aaaalllll the way back to the gas tank.

I'll try to get a pic of that valve in a sec....and you do need to black off a hole. I just cut a little piece of CF and bolted it on...

Here's the valve--

And here's a pretty cleaned up engine bay despite the f'ed up valve cover--

Hopefully we'll see a Prelude traction bar setup soon and my front mount will be gone when I get a chance to install the Innovative rear mount, and that'll help out even more.

I actually did an ABS removal on a 93 lude SI for a friend, and it wasn't that bad really! Took a few hours with the engine out!

Well if the 4th gen master is the same as the 5th then you should be able to do it! All you need to do is fab your own brake lines!

That is if the masters are interchangeable? Anyone know for sure?

If you were to check the 93-95 SI ABS master number with the 5th gen ABS master number they may still use the same setup!

https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=1 there's a lot to be learned from this thread, i know 98vtec has seen it already, but thought i'd share it for the other lude people who don't venture to appearance/cosmetic.

i love when a motor looks like it's just floating in the engine bay.

I did mine myself, used high heat paint and baked it in the oven for like 2 hrs after the final coat!

Isnt this an important piece to have? Not for emissions but for fuel reasons? Sorry...Im not too familiar with it.
