Default IACV - removal?

A local friend said it is possible to remove the IACV without any cons! Is this true? I think mine may be acting up and thought maybe I should give it a try!

I am pretty sure I would then need some sort of blocking plate on the IM wouldn't I?

Does anyone know where to get one or have any advise on fabbing one with common tools?

you can block off the coolant lines from it, but if you completely remove it, you are very likely to run into idle issues. You would need a tuning program that has idle control to fix it.
