Default help: car bogs after changing distributor

well here it goes, i changed the spark plugs and gapped them, changed the wires, distributor was bad so i got a rebuilt one from a autoparts store, new cap and rotor, checked timing on crank is correct, could it be the distributor timing? i tried to put it on the middle, then messed with it to advance and retard both still bogs, bogs at around 3000 rpms, im getting a cel code of 9, which is the nbr 1 cyl sensor? i dont understand why. oh here are my specs.

94 civic si
d16z6 bone stock just intake
new plugs
new wires
new cap
new rotor
new distributor

could it be the timing? or i just got a bad distributor? any help is appreaciated thx!

I would say check timing first... then diagnose the distributor or bring it back for to the autostore for a switch... (try to do this within a few days [from purchase to exchance] since most stores are ******** about it)

Get yourself a timing light or gun whatever you want to call it.

Tinkering with the distributor positions is not the proper way to set base timing.

I got money on that the timing off.
Unless you got a defective distributor.

yeah use a timing light and check your timing, plenty of info if you search ignition timing...your rebuilt dizzy might be a bum, but check timing first
