The COMBO of Aem tru-power pulley and the Forum under drive crank pulley ?
Has anyone under drive the Crank while having the Aem pulleys on... I have been wondering if i actually would gain back some of my low end torque with the OEM crank pulley.
I started to research a little more since then, and find that the AEM was built to under drive by weight and not by diameter as the under drive crank Forum pulley. This may actually not be the problem to my low end as well. I have consider that i need a heavier Flywheel. I Have a 11lb flywheel that works great for my high end, but takes a bit to spool up to my power band.... I already have in mind to swap it out for something like 16 to 17lbs near the ITR and Ctr flywheel. Hopefully it will just come with a new tranny if im lucky.
anyone have any suggestions or An idea from past experience....?

can't really help ya here. 1 thing i will say is keep the 11lb flywheel. stock is 18lb (im 90% sure) so a 17lb wouldn't do anything. don't listen to the myths about a loss of tq from a lightened flywheel
the stock flywheel i replaced was 19lbs. The stock Type R flywheel i beleave runs at 17 lbs. I have just started to find that honda knows what there doing, when building a sports car.... just trying out some new ideas i guess.
I dont feel that i have lost torque becuase of a 11lb flywheel... I just feel i have shifted the torque to my high end.... Now i am not sadden by this...,but i am sad that i am not getting a great start of Power & torque at my low end....

Do not underdrive your crank pulley, your oil pump takes a beating from it. I have the AEM Power Steering Pulley & Alt. Pulley with the stock crank pulley. I noticed not a thing different with the pulley's anyways so in my opinion its just a cosmetic thing.
can you explain how using a crank pulley will effect the oil pump when the oil pump is driven by the crank itself on a hubcentric mount? i may be mistaken but the diameter of the pulley shouldnt effect the oil pump at all. the change in diameter should only changed the charging system because the pulley doesnt have to turn as fast to make a whole rotation. the crank is still turning the same rpm though so the oil pump shouldnt be effected at all!!
i am not sure that this will hurt the oil pump, but i have started to notice the engine feeling alil odd. I am just going to plop back on the stock Crank pully. It should restore some of the low end torque curve back to stock and retain the factory harmonic balancer/front pully for best engine life.
just making sure becasue in your previous post you said that the oil pump takes a beating and now you say you dont know. i would refrain from posting a comment that has a definate answer if you are really unsure. a crank pulley is bad becasue it doesnt dont soften or absorb any vibration as the stock pulley does. its not goot to change the harmonic balancer on any vehicle for that matter. it will decrease engine life. but changing the crank pulley should have no berring on the oil pump
