Default OBD I and OBD II

Ok so I have a 98 Civic EX. The bottom end of the block is trashed, but the head is ok. I bought a D15b7 with tranny for 50 bucks. Basically I want to put the B7 block with transmission in my car with the Y8 head on it, and if at all possible keep the same 98 EX harness. Can someone help me please.

I don't know D series engines as well as B series ones, but I'm pretty sure that's not gonna work. I believe the head bolts won't line up with the holes in the block. I'm sure someone else can either correct me or get into more detail, but I'm pretty sure it won't work.

Ok so I spent some time researching, and I found that the head will work with the block. But I am still left confused with the OBDI and OBDII wiring with the block. If that made any sense I would be amazed.

Ok try again, What do I have to do to make a mini me (D15B7 obd1 w/D1678head obd2) work in my 98 Ex?

the head will work on the engine

but since its an older engine into your newer car you mite run into a problem wiht the wiring and ecus (d15b7 = obd 1 , your car = obd 2) and maybe a problem wiht the motor mounts

but just read that post and it should clear up a lot of your questions
