Default Horn Stopped Working While Turning The Wheel?

I have a 93 dx hatch. The first couple days i started to drive it, i noticed the SRS light come on while turning the wheel. This would disable the horn as well but as soon as it straightened, the light would go off. Now the light stays on, and my horn doesnt work.

The previous owner had swapped the stock steering wheel for the JDM non airbag one, then put on the stock one once i bought it. Could it be a wire some where has come loose on the steering column? I've taken it apart but cant figure out whats the deal.

Any ideas?

He probably put the clockspring for the srs back on wrong. I know if you don't line it up right, it can screw things up.

Well when you take off the wheel the part behind that is the clockspring. If I remember right it has an arrow or something that should be pointed up when the wheels are straight. I've heard that the clockspring can break when turning the wheel all the way in one direction but i dunno for sure. If you find that it was on there wrong, readjust it and reset the srs after you put it back together.

lol get you one of those horns that beep when you squeeze, and when a person cross your path just stick it out and squeeze.

Probably pinched wires or some other fault in the SRS cable reel. If you're replacing the steering wheel with an aftermarket piece, it won't matter since you have to remove the cable reel and wire up the horn separately.
