i yanked out my a/c awhile ago but i still have all the parts. i yanked out the compressor and someone told me i contaminated the system by yanking it out so i figured i yank everything out. well, now i can't stand the heat anymore so i want to reinstall the damn thing. anyone know how much it would cost to get the system cleaned and running? i just looking for a ball park figure so i could see if it's actually worth the hassel.

Not sure how much to clean it. But I'd just charge it yourself, for $10/lb. The oil in the system's probably dried out too.

i unplugged my compressor, took it out... put it back in, bought a bottle of freon from walmart w/ gauge for $20...and coooold again
