Can someone tell me where that rectangle piece at the top left corner of the picture goes? Also could it no being connected be the reason my car wont start??? I have searched for answers and i have looked for something to connect to it but i cant come to any conclusions. If anyone needs to know the car is a stolen recovery and im trying to start it up for the first time i just purchased the car for $1000 dollars. Please help

I know the white circle piece goes onto the cylinder i know the 2 brown connectors go to the harness but where does the rectangle piece and the other connector go????
Goes to the parking light/headlight switch on the left side of your steering wheel.
Be more specific about your car not starting. Does it crank but not turn over? Does it click but not crank?

when i turn the key to position 3 it doesnt do anything at all. it wont crank wont click nothing. All the lights on the dash are on but the car wont start. Im quite sure the ignition cylinder is connected right because when the key is in position 1 just the radio is on when its in positon 2 all the dash lights up but when i turn to position 3 it doesnt do anything

No Codes beiong throw. Starter turns when i place 12v current to it but not when i turn the key. No loose wires in the engine bay. Do you guys think the ignition switch can be bad. Would the steering lock have anything to do with it????
you need to get a meter and see if 12v is on the starter wire coming out of the switch. if it is follow it down the line until it stops somewhere. also i believe there is a relay somewhere near the fusebox for the starter. anyway follow the starter wire all the way out to the starter. also check to make sure the starter wire is making good connection at the starter.
oh and also their should be a nuetral safety wire coming from your automatic shifter. you need to verify this is working correctly also, as it will keep the starter from engaging.
