88 hatch. In the morning it runs fine when it warms up it boggs and the idle is up and down sometimes it wants to shut off but i keep reving it so it doesnt. the ecu is reading number 17 the speed sensor. Help! what can I do to make it last until my swap.. It stock sohc. Thanks guys.

 

try turning up your idle screw when your car is warmed up and set the idle at about 750-800 also try cleaning out your idle air control valve it on the back of the intake manifold

 

sounds like an iac issue..make sure its connected and not clogged..
its possible the speedo cable popped outta place...check that out as well

 

good stuff Ima do that, reset my timming and new spark plugs.

it runs from the back of the cluster to the top rear of the transmission...
