The guy named Grey sells some cheap, but im not sure about quality.

Any endlins off of a EP3 or DC5 will work too.

The stockers off the ep3 are beefed up as far as i know, so that may be another option.

You could also use Hotchkis ones. I've heard that Grey's hold up fine but they are alittle noisy. Unless you plan on running a Progress rear sway you really don't need to worry about the stock endlinks. FYI rsx endlinks=civic endlinks

Yea I would upgrade them just to be safe. Can I ask why you're going with the Progress bar? A progress bar is 22mm if memory serves me right so if I was you i'd find a DC5R rear bar and not worry about breaking endlinks.

All the autoxers on 7thgencivic.com agree that a rear strut bar doesn't do much but if you want one there are generic ones on ebay or you can google a cusco one.

what is the diffrence in the dc5 rear sway and the progress one? ive got a stock one on my ex, but it seems to thin, there are not much dc5s in my town so i dout i will find one in a junk yard. thats why i wanted the endlinks

and the reason i wanted a rear strut is because i am going all suspention first then motor last, even if it has the slightest improvement in my handling, ill still pay the price!

DC5 is a little stockier than ours, and the progress is thicker than the DC5.

I like the progress, plus it was cheap AND came with the lower rear tie bar too. You cant go wrong with the Progress, but if you wanna penny pinch, a DC% rear bar will fit you better.

Well I've taken my endlinks out autcrossing a good 4 times now...about 4 runs each time and my endlinks are holding up fine. It's the 19mm bar from the RSX. Others on 7thgen with the same rear bar are running stock endlinks and haven't had any problems. I've only really read of one instance when they've snapped...and that was with the 22mm bar and hard driving.

Rear strut bars supposedly don't offer any benefits on our cars. But for bling factor, I have one...cheap ebay one.

I beg to differ.

Ive got the progress rear bar on mine. The performance aspects of it over the OEM, are astronomical.

Compare the thickness of the OEM bar:

To an aftermarket one like my Progress:

The Progress gives less, offers a tighter feel in the corner, and you wont know its there under normal driving.

A sway bar is an awesome choice for a beginning suspension modification. A good place to start for the rest of the stuff.

Ive been driving on mine for about 3 weeks now, and have had no problems with the OEM links. I do some spirited driving now and then, so it doesnt hurt them as of yet.

Soon enough though, ill have to replace them im sure.

funz0rzies was talking about strut bars not sway bars. A DC5R is a 22mm which is the same as the Progress bar and won't break endlinks. And if you shop around will probably be cheaper than the Progress bar.

No,

A strut bar is something that spans strut towers. A sway bar is something that connects control arms on a car to keep the body roll to a minimum.

We were talking about a sway bar, not a strut bar.

Well, technically, a 'rear lower tie bar' as its called, isnt a strut bar. Its nowhere NEAR the struts on our cars. So I was assuming he meant what I though he meant when he mentioned endlinks, I, in all my tiredness, overlooked it when he started talking about "strut bars"

Miscommunication at its finest.

On my car, its the silver bar that goes from the mounting bolts on the lower control arms, seen below:

sorry for the misscommunication, ok i wanted bigger endlink that would go good with my progress rear sway bar, then i asked if anyone knew where i could find i rear strut bar and yes a rear strut bar connects to the rear struts. im looking for both items, not a sway bar or a lower rear tie bar?? just endlinks and upper strut bar that it folks....once again sorry

Ok, so you want the bar that goes on the inside, tying the 2 rear shocks together.

Im lost tonight catch_, a 14 hour shift will do that to you every now and then.

But yeah, I know what your talking about. Ill be getting the upper front and rears when I get my shocks and springs together.

I know cusco only makes a front underbrace on ours off the top of my head.

I have yet to see a rear upper.

do you think its possible to use the mounting brackets off a cheap ebay rear strut and tig weld a solid piece of stainless steel to both ends of the bracket? i got a friend that could do it for me for free, i would just have to buy the stainless steel.

A rear upper strut bar won't do much becuase there is part of the unibody right next to where the bar would go. You would want to put a supporting bar where there is little support or where the chassis could flex like the front upper towers.

Here is a pic of the Cusco bar. IMO not worth the money but whatever floats your boat.
