When it gets around 5 bars, just fill back up. This guage does scare me a little, especially sense the light doesn't come on until the last bar. How much is left is anyones guess at that mark.

The light comes on at around 1 gal left I believe. I'd trust the light, the gauges on these things are iffy. I've had it show me 5marks below full after a fill up. After restarting the car later, it was full.

Man,

I'm glad i'm not the only one with this problem. It seems like my tank will be full or half a tank forever. Then as soon as it gets under a 1/2 tank. . .it drops like a bar a mile.

According to my owner's manual, the gas light comes on when there is 2.2 liters left. That seems like a gallon or so? Not so sure about metric measurements. But yeah, my gas gauge is crazy. It likes to go back up, even on level ground.

It's supposed to be a 1.1 gal reserve. 2.2 liters is maybe... 0.6 gals.

Mostly street gets about 240-250 to the last bar. Stretched it to 309 on all highway once.

Awesome to know its not just mine...is every year s2 having this problem? Prolly so huh. I put high octane 93 and I get right at 25 mpg city compared to regular supreme at 22 city. They sell that high 93 at a local gas station here on the ms gulf coast..I even run that in my eg with built ls..and I get decent mileage out of it compared to the reg supreme.

Isn't 93 required for s2k's?

EDIT: Nvm, I just checked the manual it says 91. But I wouldn't run anything less than 93

HEY another Hi-Jack anyone ever run race fuel? did it mess up any sensors or anything? Any conquences

sometimes the gauge is a little weird,

lowest is 220 with 2 bars, highest was 289 with the last bar died out 2 miles before i hit the gas station

averaging 250-260 with 3 bars left.

I ususally get 300mpt (+/- 15miles) with about 3 bars remaining and thats with mixed city/highway/spirited driving, but I also have an Ap1 if it matters.

if i fill my tank i get 100 miles out of the first half then 200 out of the 2nd half...so when i get to 1/4 tank i just put in $20 which ends up around 3/4 of a tank which lasts me a good while and i get better milage....less weight....im in an 05 with no gauge problems after 27k
