Default AWWWW Man!!! MachIII F*UCK up my order!

I was excited when I order through the phone that they finally got a set of 16x7 45mm Black Slipstreams. The guy over on the other side of the phone sounds energy-less, so I confirm with him over and over that is it a 45mm. Next I ask if they can get any new Kumho Ecsta V700 R compound tires. He said, "sure, we can get you one of those and mounted with the slipstreams." Again, I am joyful because I can save some $60 on mounting those tires and also save some shippings from tirerack that I intended to order the tires from. So, I told him to get them mounted and I want the size 205-45-16. The word "R-compound". "V700" were mentioned numberous times.

The total came out to be $944 with Kyokogen nuts. Which means the tires cost $400. (In tirerack, they are $115 a piece, and I thought I got a great deal going on) Immediately after the phone, I wrote an email to the salesperson that was helping me stating again all the specs in it and I want an confirmation...but I never got any replies.

The rim and tires came today after almost 2 weeks. And voila!! The rims were wrapped around with Kumho Ecsta 712s and the receipt just wrote "Kumho 205-45-16"

I am really pissed right now. Not only these tires cost only $78 a piece on tirerack, but now my plans of the next two week's autox is totally screwed up!! What am I suppose to do now? Ship them back? Or sell them locally?...geez, what a pain!

I am worried that they fucked up my order on wheels as well. Can anyone please tell me how to find out if the wheels are 45mm offset?

Now, I have to order the real V700 from tirerack and unmount the 712s. I don't
know what to do with them. But I am thinking of mounting them on my 00' 3.2 TL.
But that car comes on with 16x6.5 wheels and 205-60-16 size tires. Is it possible that I can put these 205-45 on it? Will there be a big gap or will my car just be lowered? Does the lower profile have problems with load capacity since the TL is a pretty heavy car...etc. Sigh...I was planning to get some Dunlop SP5000 for my TL, this truly SUCKS!

Call them up and try to see if they want to take everything back......it was their mistake!!! I don't think your TL can use 205-45-16. It may be too "thin" for such a heavy car ( wheel may bend ) and the ride will not be good too.

Talk to the manager, send him a copy of your email......

I've delt with Walee at MachIII several times, and he has always been very helpful and accomodating. Have you called them back to see what they can do to clear up the situation? If they are uncooperative, you always have the option of filing a dispute with your credit card co to help clear up the situation.

The 215/45/16 tires on your TL will cause your speedometer to read 10% too high. And worse yet, your odometer will also record milage 10% higher than it should...

Machiii lol, I made a pretty big purchase from them awhile back. I was buying a whole bunch of stuff and I asked the sales man to break down the prices of everything I was buying because I was given a total price and he gets all mad and doesn't want to do. Then I insist that I need the individual prices of everything I want so he puts my call on hold, or so he thought, and then I hear this ************ call me an ******* as soon as he puts the phone down. This emplyee is a total idiot and should NOT be talking to customers. I will never buy anything from them again and everytime a thread comes up about machiii I will be sure to give my opinion, which is buy from somehwere else.
Oh ya, they also sent me the wrong tires on my rota's which I specifically told them about numerous times.

I talked to 2 different people down there, the first person(employee) who called me(customer) an ******* I don't know his name, but when I called back bitching about the wrong tires they sent I talked to Johnson (who is lacking customer service skills also but atleast he didn't call me an *******, lol)

I guess I'll talk to Walee personally on Monday about this matter. It would be great if they can get some V700 for me and take back the 712s.

Can anyone please tell me how to measure / read offsets on these wheels. I want to make sure they are 45mm not 40, or else I'll just ship the whole damn thing back to them.

The rotas look really nice, I like it alot, can't wait to put them on...supposedly, I can take some good pics tomorrow, but now I have to wait for the right tires!!

The 712 are street tires with exceptional wet/dry performance. The V700 that I want are race tires that I swap on only during autox/road events. The R-compounds have only 80 treadwear, so they are pretty much dead after a season of events. When I open the package, I see deep channels on the tire and I start to panic. As I strip down more and see "Ecsta", I felt better, but the next sighting of "280" treadwear send me into a coma...damn it! How the F am I suppose to ship these suckers back?

look on the backside of the rim. should be stamped 45et or 40et depending on the offset. hope you got the right ones.
