Default Shannonville Nelson Circuit - Video

Had some fun yesterday with the car, new suspension setup Bilsteins + GC + 23mm sway bar.

Weather was cloudy with some heavy rain downpour at times. That didn't stop the fun from happening.

It was a small private event. A couple of Porsche C2's, BMWs, VW 333, WRX, STis.

Below a link of a incar video of a couple of laps on the Nelson circuit at Shannonville. I'll post some picture later on.

Enjoy!

Edwin,

Looks like fun, I always love watching a TypeR chase down Porsches... Sorry I couldn't make it.

I love driving in those changing conditions, it really tests the driver’s ability to adapt and find the changing limits.

Let me know if you plan on heading out to the track again this year. Hopefully my clutch issue will be resolved by then

The video would be tad bit too big if I included the S2000, Silver Porsche C2, Black Porsche C2, and Miata that got punked by the mighty 3rd gear VTEC yo!

Same with me, I love driving in those conditions. It's challenging, mixing the dry and wet lines depending on track surface.

Falken RT-615s are fantastic in these conditions! They never felt greasy after 10-15 hot laps on this track.

I'll let you know when the next upcoming day is. By then you should have your clutch all sorted out.

First: I’ve received you’re one email!

Second: You’ve never been not invited to a lapping event. I’ve only been to two this year (including the Expo which you SHOULD have come to) and this is Edwin’s first track event in a couple years. Its not like were at this every weekend; however, I do plan on doing a few more events this year.

I'll definitly keep you posted...

Third: If by this fact you are saying that you’ve only put 2200km on your TypeR over the last few years then this is nothing to “LOL” about. That’s a just sad…

It would be nice if I had space to house one of those EG hatches. That car is a classic Honda in my eyes -- it one of the cars that started the import scene in Toronto. I was going to get one of those after high school but later got my fulfilled my gino dreams with a '81 Camaro instead! haha Nice pictures. What camera are you shooting with?

The ITR is driven all year round and I love every second of it. The refreshing of components this year gave me renewed interest in the car.

Mugen front compliance, rear trailing arm, steering box, shift bushings were all changed.

These bushings have a very positive impact on the feel of the car. It is very predictable in high speeds corners. The Bilsteins + GC setup is great suspension setup for Ontario roads. The low speed tuning of the damper is comfortable for the street yet I found very capable for the track without any adjustment!

So you got only 2200 km on my old Tein S-Tech + ITR shocks. You don't drive your car that much. But if you have multiple cars to choose from then I guess you opt for ITR the as your last choice.

Thanks Doug.....Keep me posted....I'll be there next one if you give me the heads up....and as for your third comment......I'll ignore that.....you know what I'm like...besides...now I've got a dedicated "Fun" Caaaa!

Actually Doug...Ed summed it all up perfectly, Quote: "But if you have multiple cars to choose from then I guess you opt for ITR the as your last choice." I've actually got four. The 2003 Pilot EX-L get's used the most. LOL
.....talk to ya soon guys.

Bah... you guys both have it wrong. If I had 100 choices to choose from the keys to the ITR would always be the first ones I'd reach for; unless of course IT was my dedicated RACE caaa.

Action shots are with my Bro's Nikon D2X, and the stationary "No Frills" shots are with the same camera I used to shot our R meet's with at Yorkdale...my Ol'Olympus C-750 P and S.

Geesh Lori...Give it up already...what I choose to do with MY arrr is MY business.......I've got a dedicated Track EG6/Eh2.....both Doug and Ed caught that....remember, you USED to have your EK......

If I CHoose to keep my aaarr Locked up and low mileage that's MY problem...what business is it of yours.....I put enough mileage per year on'r to keep'er all freed up and all of the right stuff lubed.....

Man YOU Guys and YOUR R's.......when ever we spoke at meet's it didn't seem to bother you THAT much

what all you guys do with your R's is YOUR business...what I do with MINE, is my business....enough of the drama already....I'm just looking for invites to track day's with these guys so I can take my EH2 out.

Here are some pics of the day. (not taken by me)

The pack -- group B intermediate.

Bikes at the pit and a cut off shot of my car.

See Mike stop acting as an instructor; and how the heck did you get into my private event?

damn i forgot they ran the track days with the bikes.

that'd be awesome... i could tow my bike with my car and get two track days in one... or something

i thought they ran in different configurations when bikes were on track, and that they pitted in the other area. hrm.

Cool Lori

There are some pretty harsh personnel on this here site...one never can be quite sure how to take stuff.

Cool

Will we ever see you and your R in this neck of the woods again? GTA?
