if i have a complete ex 1.6 vtec 1997 engine with the whole harness and computer and i want to put it into a 1990 crx dx what else would i need?

 

1.6 vtech eh? umm b16 my guess would be get engine mounts, get the si wiring harness and ecu if you were to put that motor in your ef

Um d16y8 would be a better guess.... it will mount in as long as you use your existing tranny, i believe the y8's have different tranny mounts, you will have to convert to obd1 and run a p28 ecu, and if your car isn't already mpfi youll have to convert to that

 

so i wouldnt be able to run the harness outta that 97 coupe and make an ef into obd2?

 

you could, but youd have to run the cabin harness too and then your dash stuff wont plug in...or you'd have to repin like every plug and maybe mate it to your engine harness, but its just much easier to convert to obd1 and run a p28
