extended lug nut question

do all extended lug nuts fade over time and chip/scratch very easily?

I have the skunk 2 lug nuts.. not really faded, but i did strip them so it looks chipped. Remember to use a deep socket because i failed to do that and stripped the first 1/2 mm of the lug nut.
