Default COLD AIR INTAKE + engine check light open ?

Hello i own a civic 06 dx-g with a aem cold air intake.... and yes, i did a car wash, reason why i say this, is because apparently ive been reading about this combo people were getting the engine check light coming up...

so i have two questions, if this has happened to you, do you know how to fix it? and why this happened ? (car was working great with aem until later at night, where the engine check came on out of no where.. and car still runs the same)

and where is the wire, that you can jump to get the engine check code on a civic 2006 ?

not by hand, they were about 5-6 people spraying the car and cleaning\rubbing it and drying it by hand... maybe some water couldve got into somewhere, but if that was the case, the car would loose power...this and i mean, the filter is covered anyways by bumper + cover... but i saw a couple of threads about civic 06 + intake, AND A CAR WASH (surprisingly) getting the engine check light on.. but tough the engine check light didnt appear right after the car wash...it was about 12 hours later

Take the car to Autozone or Advance Auto Parts and have someone check the codes. They'll be able to tell you why your light is on, and its free.

Oh.. I didn't realize you were in Quebec. You'll have to look it up in a phone book or something.

i read some where that the CEL light came on after you disconected the battery (and then install the CAI) and then it goes away after some time.

i wouldnt worry about the car wash thing.

check out http://www.8thcivic.com more people have DX/LX/EX with CAI and can explain it better then i can.

good luck.
