Default quick question

ok im sure everyone in here has had an iac problem of some kind. so just wondering.. im throwing a code (iacv) and im wondering if a leak could be the cause of the problem. I know it is the most probable cause of the idle surging but would a vacumm leak throw a code? break in wire? i tried cleaning the connectors already..

A vacuum leak probably wouldn't throw that code... You sure it sealed 100% back to the throttle body? Sucking air in that way will create a surging idle + the CEL, swap it with another IACV (change the gasket) and see if you still have the problem..
