Default Red Lugs on OEM rims

i want to have red lugs (aftermarket, painting stock ones wont work) on my stock rims, and ive been looking at these.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

would red lugs like these be safe to use with OEM wheels (GSR snowflakes)??? if not, are there any types of lugs that would be good and come in red. thanks

i figured the acorn style aftermarket lugs should work, but im not really certain.

all help is appreciated

those aren't fine. OEM wheels use a ball/radius type lug nut.
those lug nuts in the picture are tapered

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels...e=107

what happens when you run them? they will get loose over time, your wheel will wobble, you'll bend a wheel stud, and then the wheel will fall off.

but hey, what do I know.

thanks alot. car-saving advice right there^

you wouldn't happen to know any alternatives to stock lugs, do you (pref made in red)?

there has to be teg owners out there that use colored/aftermarket lugs with their OEM rims (safely, that is). any recomendations are appreciated

I'm not omniscient either but I'm pretty sure they don't. I know for a fact that all of the Spoon lugs I've personally seen have been tapered. I think you are going to have a tough time finding colored aftermarket lugs with ball seating. Good Luck and if this has taught you anything, don't believe the first word you hear on Honda-Tech, there are a lot of people that answer questions that they really aren't qualified to answer.

Definitely look into getting ball seated lugs. I have to replace mine now that I just switched to blades - the wheels do NOT fit right. Gorilla sells ball seated lugs if I remember correctly.

I'm glad someone posted this. I can't also stress the above information enough!!
Some more info: All if not most aftermarket wheels use tapered/conical lugnuts.

my gorilla lugs are ball/radius style, but for the life of me i cant remember where i bought them. They are red and the color had stayed bright for about 1.5 years. I would def reccomend them. Try ebay i thought i saw some on there the other day.
