So the other night I was driving and I went to shift and the car just didn't go into gear. It felt as if I hit a wall. Basically I ended up towing the car home and now I've been messing with it and I noticed that when the car is off the clutch feels perfectly fine. when I turn the car on and try to put it into gear the clutch pedel vibrates and won't go into gear. I tried putting the car in gear then starting it and all it does is jump fowards and die on me. Could anyone help me out here. The car is a 92 GS-R (cable) and it has a 97 JDM ITR (hydro) complete swap in it with the innovative conversion. Thanks

sounds like you either broke a pressure plate or broke a clutch disc or a spring poped out of it. how old is the clutch?

 

as far as i know the swap came to me with 12k on it and ive put 500 miles on it since i've had it.

 

yea sounds like a clutch. my friends DC2 was having the same system turns out the 6 puck he had just shattered into a couple pieces and destroyed the flywheel. no offenese but this is why you dont buy cars already modded. cuz as u can see they did beat on it and it lasted just enough to sell it.
