At a shop here in town there is a white 3rd gen prelude SI with a bad motor and rather then fix it the guy is looking to sell it. I was told the car has 190,000 miles and the timing belt snapped which caused some bent valves. The car appears to be in ok codition other then that though. Some dents and scratchs and minor rust but not to bad.

I dont know much about preludes so I was hoping you guys could tell me a fair price to offer, about how much another motor would cost and anything else I may need to know.

 

Don't offer over $1000, in my opinion.

 

I'll see if I can get some pics but I dunno if the guys at the shop would be ok with that.

 

pics would help out...I would only pay a few hundred for hte car since it's pretty old, needs a new motor, and has rust on it

 

Its a pretty clean body I think. Only rust I saw was on the right rear quarter and it was just surface rust.

I'll see if I can get out there and take pics. Its hard to get anyhwere when you dont have a car though.
