Well, have they? I know people get those non-power aftermarket sunroofs, that don't even match the shape of the car, but has anyone put a real sunroof in one? OEM from a EX or Si? Is it possible, since the 6G roof retracts INTO the roof? What would you need?

Or has anyone targa'd their hatch/coupe? It would be even better, to get rid of the "stuffed in" felling that comes without having a roof.

you will need to order this :

it's #8.
or you can have them cut it out, but that usually leaks. IMO, doing something like this doesn't always comes out the way planned. better off buying a coupe.

Nope. EK ones don't stick up.

I really don't care what the body is. I just want "hole" in my roof, power windows, rear discs, locks, cruise, and front discs that don't need changing(size).

It's retarded that our 6G hatches only came with bullshit trims

Only cars that fit that is a Sol Si or Teg, but DC Teg's feel so closed in when you drive them. Civic EX is very close. I miss mine.

My only ? is why!!! sun roofs add a lot of weight to the top of your car and can be a real pain in the blank if they start to leak

Considering I want bigger fronts, rear discs, and power everying, a roof isn't **** to me. I don't care about the extra weight, if I can be a little more comfy.

Like when I had my 5G Civic EX, with full everything, and a B16, my boy's 5G Civic CX could run with me to 100, with FULL stripping, and a full D16Z6 swap. But when looking at details, like how ALL my interior buttons was for something(not block-off plates, like a CX), or how much better my brakes filled the rims than his. I was always glad I had a EX, even he said "your **** is like a Caddilac compared to mine. Especially since we both had 5G's and both had skinny 5 Sol Si wheels, it was real easy to tell. His lack of anything kept his $250 D16Z6 swap right with my $2500 B16 swap, but my car was waaaaaay better to drive.

use a 94-2000 4 door integra roof...it tilts up like the eg's...and the shape of the roof is more similar to the ek's...best thing to do is actually to cut out the roof of the integra and weld it onto the ek...that way, the opening and everything is already there w/ no issues of leaking...wiring should be easy from there...find a wrecked FOUR door integra, get a good body shop and a lot of bucks will get you the oem sunroof that will last...

the answer would be not everybody is buildin a super stripped out tin can race car. how much weight we r talkin? 20-30lbs? considerin the 6g si has all these luxury items stock and it can still move pretty well on its own with its torqueless wonder motor, i know i have one.

it will leak if its not done right and i have seen several aftermarket sunroofs done before and none of which has leaked in the 2-5 years they have owned it.
