Default Problems with my new 94 ex coupe

i just purchased a salvaged ex coupe. The car is a stolen recovery and it wont start. The ignition was broken to steal the car. I fixed the ignition but now it still wont start. I can turn the key all the way to the third position all the dash lights come on but the starter does not ignitiate. Nothing happens at all. Its like there is an alarm on the car. If there is an alarm on the car how do i disconnect it.

look for extra wires, also there is a switch on the clutch that has to pressed to start, usually engaged by pressing clutch in

look under the hood for a speaker. Check under the dash for wiring that does not belong. most people the put in alarms dont hide the system very well. look for wiring that dose not match what the factory wiring looks like. if you find nothing post more info for us to help you

sorry for not stating the car is automatic. Also there is no speaker under the hood for the alarm. I see to wires not connected next to the steering column not connect. The first wire is a goldish looking rectangle cylinder like thing with a hole in it. The other wire is a brown connector. i know these dont go to the ignition switch because they are fairly short and the two connectors for the ignition switch are connected. i cant take pictures but help is very much appreciated.

the goldish rectangle piece is quite warm i think its from me turning the key but i dont see a place for it to go or what can go in the hole in the middle of it.
