have you had door hinge problems on your ef/ed?
i really wish i had pics to explain this. but ill take a stab at it. where the door hinge goes into the frame, it is all busted and loose and moves a lot and makes nice loud popping sounds when i close and open the door. i made a custom bracket to go around it so it doesnt move as much it helped but its still doing it. im making a new bracket it should work now. but i was just seeing if any of you other ef/ed owners have had this problem
Had that problem on the passenger's side and fixed it. Problem for the loud popping noise was the little pin in the doorwell, and the two metal pieces holding the bar in place. Took a flat mouthed set of pliers and pinched everything back together. Door is quiet like new now
. Oh yeah, did this last summer, and the door still works flawlessly (being opened and closed a lot every week...I give people rides).

On my car that piece has been rewelded on on the drivers side. Sounds to be a very common problem.
Make sure that your noise is not your door hitting your fender. When my brother is done working on his car and has dented the fender in from leaning on it the door will hit the fender and make a popping noise. You just have to pop the dent out and it is fine then. Probably not the problem but you can always check.

More details PLEASE! First CRX did, second CRX does it,...just picked up another and that MFer does it too! Guess I'm just gonna have to keep buying them until I find one that doesn't click.
