Default which headers fit my b16a1

i was wondering if the del sol vtec or the 99 civic si headers fit the b16a1 engine without modifying anything. i had to have an extension put on my cat back to make it bolt up to the stock headers. and dont want to have to have it removed unless nessisary

try to get a header from a 1.6 engine, the block on the 1.8 engines are a little taller so the header will be taller too. If your car is lowered, you'll beat the crap out of the header

Yeah. I'm running a 4-2-1 DC Sports from a GSR, and it's getting the hell beat out of it. I would say stick with the headers that are meant for the B16a. BTW, nice time on that run. I'm getting low 15's at the track...Getting the valves and tuneup this week. Hopefully I'll join the 14 sec club by next Friday.

I am using a DC sports 4-2-1 Header that I had custom welded to hold both of the O2 sensors. Mine is from a 95 GSR . Any B series will work, but like earlier mentioned the deck height is an issue when you lower the car the header scrapes, I don't adjust my car too low, so mine doesn't normally scrape. The roads here are so shitty I can't go very low.

i just put a dc 4-1 1 piece header made for a 99-00 Si and del sol vtec onto my 88 hatch STD w/ b16 swap. i put the header on before i dropped the engine in. i had to slightly dent the front cross member in for the engine to drop in property. the header was hitting it. it's a VERY tight fit. and if you've already got your engine in then u prolly don't wanna take it back out to put a header on. i would probably say go w/ the 4-2-1. you'll have more room to work with.

NO, do not take the engine out. If you drop the front crossmember you'll have plenty of room. It's six bolts, 4 holding the crossmember on and 2 for the radius rods.

How did you wire the two oxygen sensors? I just plugged the white one in and left the green unplugged. I have to get my exhaust extended today (long story) cause I installed the 99-00 Si headers 4-1 DC's. It wasn't that bad installing it but I did have to cut the crap out of my cross member. Anyways I how did you wire yours?

Default Re: 1G B16 ones.

I've placed 1Gen JDM DOHC OEM header onto my 2000 SiR civic B16 motor. Had to use it for optimal O2 sensor placement as my ECU is not chipped.
I had to modify 2 holes as they did NOT line up. No big deal. Dremel did it nice. Drilling cast iron was light and easy.
The 2 holes are the ones that have nuts, those are 2 outer most ones.
