Some fluid is staining the carpet under the gas pedal inside my bro's 94 civic 4dr, noticed it immediately. hes concerned just needs some assistance in locating the problem thanks

 

under gas pedal? or brake pedal? sometime the brake master/booster will leak back into the vehicle, along with the clutch master if it is 5 speed. you should be able to tell which one by checking the fluid level if it is enough to stain the carpet.

 

what kinda fluid substance is it..?! is light oil-ly.. dark... ??? need more info..

 

under the gas pedal it's light, ive checked the brake fluid & power steering and they were fine.

 

I think you only have 3 options on what it could be Brake fluid which is also used in the clutch (pull the carpet back and look around the clutch and brake ped. 2nd it could be a leak in the heater core but you should smell coolant in the car. 3rd the ac unit is leaking if your car has it but that should be on the pass side of the car.

 

is it a 5speed... if it is check the clutch fluid resivoir... umm you might maybe have a water leak...
