Default B18 swap almost done - few final questions

WOW what a b!tch gettign that motor in the engine bay... (self note - dont buy cheap mounts)

Background:
88 civic DX Hatch
Dropping in a B18B1 - 96 Block 90 head with 96 cams intake 91 tranny

I got everything i need and then some...

First question...
HOW THE HECK do i get the axles off... i mean i know how.. but i cant get them to bust loose... I've used the breaker bar... the air gun and no go... How do you guy's break the axle loose from the wheel...

Second question...
Can i use a 90 - 91 integra motor harness? all teh plugs match right up but one... it's one of the ones that go to the ecu.. it's "missing" so this is probably a no...

Third question...
What do i put for oil in the tranny? no special LSD , just a stock tranny...

Fourth Question...
On the transmission... near teh back side... below the fuel filter there's a thing that the speedo plugs into.. looks like it has vaccum hoses.. what goes there? has 2 "nipples" on it for hoses?

1.Leave the wheel on put the car on the ground get the breaker bar and put some pipe on the end try that maybe with a friend helping and give it one good jerk and you should be able to break it loose...make sure you bent the tab out too...or borrow someones more powerful impact gun, they usually aren't hard to get off but i have a had a hard set but they suspension was off the car so it was realy really hard to do

2. Always Always use the harness that came in the car much easier to make that work for a new motor than trying to make a harness fit a car

3. you can use 30w..not 10-w30 but 30weight or any heavier oil but i suggest some Honda tranny fluid or what is it GM syncromesh

4.When the tranny is in an integra the power steering fluid is feed throught the vss I believe to keep it lubricated, since my rex dosen't have power steering all i did was put some in the vss and loop a hose from on to the other some people will say its not needed but i have seen vss snap so I think you should try and keep it lubricated

Looks like you should be set to go

My LS swap was the best upgrade i did...well the turbo is going on this week so we'll see that will probably take over being the best upgrade

Another similar method is to put your ~4 ft pipe on the breaker bar, then get a sledgehammer. 1 or 2 smacks on the pipe will break the nuts loose, and is less likely to break a socket. The impact is what breaks it loose. Worked great on my last CRX.

Getting ready to drop my B18a in my 91 hatch in a few weeks, too. slightly higher comp(milled head), some crane cams, and a 92 GSR trans, should move ok...
