Default Small air filter?

I have CAI with an air filter at the end.
now i'm thinking of installing that small air filter which you install in the middle of the intake, i'll try to attach a pic of it.
now the question is: Did anybody try it before and what does it do ?
I mean you already have an air filter at the end of the intake what is the use of this small air filter in the middle?!

Are you talking about a bypass valve? If so...thats used so your engine doesnt hydrolock when your filter gets underwater..although ive heard they dont really work that good.

If you are talking about a bypass valve i would get one and install it but if its a second filter it would be pointless.

THAT IS A BAD IDEA. Those breather filters will collect oil vapors inside of it(on number 2 in that pic) and clog up. Really you are supposed to attach a hose line from 2 to 1. (there are other ways but not really needed for a NA setup)
