Default Quickest HP gain?

Hey guys! I'm new here and just got a 2000 S2K. I'm sure this has been asked before, but I could not find it on here..... What is the quickest (and cheapest) way to get HP out of the S2000? I know that the stock exhaust is not very restrictive. And I'm kinda worried about getting a CAI because of all the things I've seen about hydrolock. How about a VTEC controller?
Thanks guys!!

You can always get a comptech intake. A test pipe would be a good hp/$ but emissions wise it wouldn't work out

Get a supercharger, add up all the little stuff(header, tp, exhaust, intake, vafc)

and you end up paying the same amount of money

forced induction or the bottle is the only way to really gain much power.

^ lol.

Don't worry about horsepower. Most noticeable gains for the least would be gears. 4.77 for AP1, 4.57-R for AP2.

A SC is a little bit out of my price range right now, so would yall recomend going with external upgrades first?
So, my next question is my car is silver, how would the bronze Volk TE37 look on a silver car?

external upgrade? as if apperance or bolt on performance?

little booger mod like header, tp, exhaust and intake will cost as much as a SC if you getting the comtech/mugen stuff.

waste of money if you ask me

comptech makes a really nice kit and is much easier to install than the vortech. $7k is a whole lot. See my sig.

Get yourself gears installed for around 500 bucks, it will be the most noticeable gain. I already told you. Kia 4.77 gears will be netting you low 13's, which is a small scare version of going Supercharged at a much lower price and remaining relatively stock.

If you do a lot of highway driving don't get the 4.77's.

What about 4.57-R's? What all is involved in changing gears? Any good threads about the subject?
