Default Next Mod: Shock and Spring combo.

Well, the time has come to decide which shock and spring setup I want

Ive heard some awesome stuff about the Tokico D-Spec adjustables, and Eibach or Tein springs. What are you guys' experiences with ANY suspension set.

What can I expect to pay for a decent setup?? I want at least a 1.5in drop, maybe more. Im finding 750 for the Dspecs and Tein kit. Help me out a little here.

Recommendations???

are you looking for daily driving or are you planning to go track. I'm running with tokico blues/megan springs which deliever a 1.5 drop with a 2 finger gap. For me its a perfect drop, not slammed and not too high.

Recommendations? Well, im sure most people on here will tell you straight up, Koni Yellows paired up with Ground Controls. However, the ground controls may be too much of a drop for you as they lower 2.0 inches i believe. Eibach manufatures great springs. If you want about a 1.5 drop, you should go with the Eibach Sportlines which will drop you 1.4 inches all the way around. After they sit in for a while, itll prolly become 1.5. As for the shocks, Konis are great adjustables. They are cheaper than the D-specs too! So basically, Koni Yellows paired with Eibach Sportlines. If your interested, i have a pair of New Eibach Sportlines for sale. They have never been mounted and are for the 01-05 Honda Civic (non-si). just pm me and lemme know. ill let them go for a cheap price.

personally i'd go with sumthing that'll adjust to my own taste and not follow along with what everyone has. umm... so far from what i can see, i'd personally go with the full coilover kit by megan racing. they're 32way adjustables so your bound to run into a setup your most comfortable in, track or street. take other people's setup into account and decide for yourself what kind of setup would best suit you.

I've got the D-Specs with Neuspeed Sports and the ride is super comfortable. Handling is excellent, maybe almost as good as the B&G Coilover setup I had previously.

Full coilovers all the way for me. I love the hard ride when it comes to backroad country blasts.

I suppose it depends what kind of driving you're into. If you love spending an afternoon just razzing about in the middle of nowhere, i'd say full coilovers. If you town drive 90% of the time, a good shock/spring combo sounds like the best option. People on here seem to like the Tokicos.

EDIT: ^^^ I didnt even notice it wasn't the same guy. Sorry RED.

But yeah, generally not cool to thread jack.

I wouldn't buy Megans when a Koni shock costs less and performs 10x better.

Honestly, I've tried a lot of different shock/spring/coilover combos and you'll be hard pressed to beat Koni shocks and good lowering spring for a daily driven car.

Word. Plus you get the name brand quality. Ive heard about the bore seals going out in the megans.

I know theres a company Matt suggested to me Form&Function, that seems to make a good coilover.
