Default axles

how do i get the new axles on the passenger side back into the tranny? looks like a lock ring or some sort on the axle.

also how can i seperate this piece (3 bolt shaft piece that goes on the motor) on the driver side from the axle? i tried prying it but can't seem to get a good angle.

Hit the outboard joint with a hammer. Hit it away from the bearing support (the part that is attached to the 3 bolt piece. If you hit it long enough it will separate.

For the passenger side just wiggle it around untill you hear it clip, there will be a little gap so dont worry...Here is a good link https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=382416

^^^good wirte up

but instead of hammering on the axle nut with an impact. or tightening it till its "snug". torque it to proper torque specs 136 ft lbs (maybe 134) i always go to 135. my torque wrench only goes in increments of 5

do not use a pickle fork to separate the balljoint!!!!!!!!!! it WILL ruin the boot

use a "pitman Tie Rod Seperator" its like a fork that grap then there's a middle part that you turn and it'll push the ball joint out. This is better because you wont ruin your ball joint. and for the axles if its to hard get a jack, and jack it up to support the axles so its parralle(SP) to the tranny and use a piece of wood and place it between the axles and your hammer and start tapping it in.

just be careful when using this method. it can actually mushroom the threads on a ball joint
