every time I take my car racing it fails me it runs good for several laps then it starts to cut out and lose power, I get code 3 map sensor failure. wants the answer I can't keep changing map sensors? (oh its a 2nd gen B16 with a p28ecu)

i have a 98 coupe and my cel reads the same. i have tried three different map sensors with no luck. One worked for a day and the other two did nothing! anyone know whats up?

Short of looking around for shorts in wiring, I don't really know what to tell you.

Does it only do it under certian conditions (when it's hot, after x amount of miles, only under WOT conditions, etc)?

 

only when I go road racing so when its hot and working hard

 

where is the map sensor supposed to mount?? externlly from the throttle body??
