hi i was helping my friend change his axle today and when we were finishing up filling the tranny with fluid through the speed sensor hole, the mount snapped in two as i was tightening the small bolt that holds it on. check the picture for reference. i didnt take this picture, but we are in the same predicament since the speed sensor can now spin in its place and possibly pop out of the top:



is it safe for him to drive like this temporarily? at least until he finds a spare speed sensor or mounting bracket? any help or info would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

 

Hmm i did the same thing but it was some pin in the internals but knowing his is freely spining i geuss all i can say is watch your speed!

 

do you think it might pop out easily from normal daily driving at least for a few days?

 

I would just remove it and drive around until it can be replaced

you will throw a CEL but it wont affect the preformance

 

that **** happened to me i used jb weld and that shithas been 8 months strong brotha
