Default Rear Drum Brake Question

First, yes I own a Supra, so don't flame. Second, I have a question about a 1994 Accord LX. It's my dad's and I know nothing about drum brakes since I have four wheel disks. Anyways on to the question, We just peplaced the rear shoes, and now whenever he hits the brake, the driver side rear brakes makes a wierd knocking (best way I can describe it) noise. Does anyone know what this could possibly be? Also 2 wheel studs broke off but if it was the wheel studs making that noise wouldn't it be doing it all the time and not just during braking? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Also, my neighbor ownes a yellow turbo hatchback civic and we live in Lorain, OH. Anybody happen to know him on here? J/C. Thanks.

Kyle
