I have a GSR swapped into my 97 LX. Swap was running fine for a few weeks, and just the other day my speedo died. I thought it was the VSS so i changed it out and put the one from my old Y7 motor. It still didnt work, and then I checked the fuse and sure enough it ws blown. I changed the fuse and the speedo worked for a few hours then it died again cuz of a fuse blow. I keep replacing the fuse and it keeps blowing, I even tried a higher amp fuse and it still blew out. I took the car to autozone and got the charging system checked. The alt was putting out 13.1v which is not too good cuz it should be 14.0v+. So I know i need to change the alt, but what is pissing me of is that the fuse keeps blowing. I dont get why the VSS and the ALT is the same fuse, why does it keep blowing? Searched founds some answers, but none of my wires seems to be grounding out.
