ok, my friend has a 91 dx hatch with a 1st gen b16 in it that ran fine even after i hooked up his external coil, he wanted to put a diferent intake manifold on it so he had to take the coil off so he could get the manifold off.

so when he tried to hook everything back up he crossed the wires on coil so it fried all the wires inside the distributor and a little bit of the wires up through the harness.

so he got a brand new 1st gen b16 distributor off someone on ebay and i hooked everything up, re-ran all the wires that were fried from the point where they were good to the plug, modified the distributor to accept the external coil and now its not getting any spark, weve tried the msd coil that fried everything, and a blaster coil.

and that distributor with the blaster coil worked in my car too.


any help is greatly appreciated.

 

maybe the ecu was fried as well

 

not the ecu, bump.

 

Did you guys check all the fuses? Is there any codes on the ecu?
