salvage title theft worth buying?
if the accord has a salvage title for theft, woudl it be worth buying assuming there aren't any cosmetic damages?
are there gonna be mechanical problems? i just want a car that will last me a long time and a whole bunch of salvage title accords are within my price range. it's like i can get a 98 accord for the same price and one has 80k miles and the other one has 100-110k miles. but i don't know if it'd be worth it cuz it has a salvage title.
u think i should get the clean title instead?

It depends on your state laws, I got a 'stolen' salvage title car before and rebuilt it. But when I gave it to my lil sis in NC it became a nitemare. I had to prove how much money was put into the car, then they wanted my "rebuilder certificate number" , after 9 months of affidavits, sworn statements stamped by notary publics, the state of N.C. finally believed the car was salvaged because it was stolen in florida and recovered in Ok. the transport cost was more than the value of the car. So that took My sis 9 months to get a valid plate and registration.
I drove a salvaged title Z for 3 years and it ran fine, the biggest complaint i had was trying to sell it. No one can finance a salvage title car so you have to pay cash in CA.
Be sure to check it out like any other used car. It depends what the prior owner and the thief each did to the car, right? You might consider having an experienced mechanic do the once-over.
If it's just theft recovery its realyl all up to you.......
there are a couple problems with owning a salvaged car
selling it..........most people want a clean title so they can sell it easier later
and if you get full coverage insurance you will only get half the value of the car
but if it's mechanicaly sound and just gonna be your DD...**** go for it

I am driving a car that was rebuilt from salvage back in 2001. I have put 80K miles on it with no problems.

i wouldnt, unless you wanna take off the head and inspect it. I boght a car and it ran great the first week then all of the sudden i have a hole in my piston and the valves are toast.
it could drive fine and then crap out on you, a stolen is more likely to be abused like mine was, but hey ya never know it could be a "steal"
